Birdeye pricing: how the quote works and what to negotiate
Direct answer
Birdeye pricing is not public as of October 2026. Birdeye's pricing page shows no plans or dollar figures. It asks for your company, email, phone, and number of locations, then a sales rep sends a quote. Birdeye describes the model as one platform and one contract where you "pay only for what you deploy at your locations," so expect a per-location price that depends on which products you turn on. The parts that are public are in the terms of service: auto-renewal for the same term length, 90 days' written notice to cancel renewal, and an 8% "Innovation Fee" added to recurring fees at each auto-renewal unless your contract changes it.
What Birdeye publishes and what it doesn't
| Item | Public? | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Plan names and prices | No | Pricing page is a quote form |
| Pricing unit | Partly: priced by what you deploy at each location | Pricing page |
| Location bands on the quote form | Yes: 1-3, 4-9, 10-39, 40-249, 250-999, 1000+ | Pricing page |
| Contract length | Set in your order form | Terms, section 5.1 |
| Auto-renewal | Yes, same length as the initial term | Terms, section 2.3 |
| Non-renewal notice | At least 90 days, in writing | Terms, section 2.3 |
| Renewal increase | 8% Innovation Fee on recurring fees | Terms, section 6 |
| Refunds | Payments are non-refundable, obligations non-cancellable, except as the terms state | Terms, section 5.1 |
| Onboarding time | Up to 2 hours over a 4-week period | Terms, section 1.1 |
Birdeye used to show named tiers. An archived copy of the pricing page from January 2025 lists Starter, Growth, and Dominate plans priced per location per month, but the dollar amounts load through a configurator and don't appear in the archive. Many third-party sites publish Birdeye price figures. Birdeye doesn't confirm them, so we're not repeating them here. Treat any number you see outside your own quote as a guess.
What drives a Birdeye quote
Birdeye's own page names the inputs, and the product structure explains the rest.
1. Number of locations. It's the first question on the form, and Birdeye's pitch is "pay only for what you deploy at your locations." A 3-location dental group and a 300-location franchise will get very different numbers, and volume usually changes the per-location rate.
2. Which products you deploy. As of October 2026, Birdeye's homepage groups the product into three AI coworkers: Jay (reviews, listings, social, AI search, chatbot), Myna (front desk, appointments, reminders, insurance verification), and Robin (surveys, ticketing, insights, reporting). Each module you add at each location raises the quote. If you only need review requests and listings, say so up front.
3. Term length. The term is set in your order form, and whatever length you sign renews at that same length. A longer term may get a better rate, but it also means a longer commitment you can't cancel.
4. Industry needs. Healthcare buyers who need HIPAA-ready handling or insurance verification are buying more of the platform than a restaurant that wants reviews and listings.
What the contract terms mean for total cost
Three clauses in Birdeye's terms of service affect what you pay over time more than the first-year price does.
The 8% Innovation Fee. Section 6 says that at any auto-renewal, Birdeye applies an 8% fee to all recurring service fees, including fees added during the term. It doesn't apply if your agreement predates April 1, 2024 or if your contract specifically changes it.
Auto-renewal with 90 days' notice. Section 2.3 renews the agreement for the same period as the initial term unless you give written notice at least 90 days before renewal. On a one-year term, that means deciding about three months before the anniversary.
Non-refundable, non-cancellable payments. Section 5.1 makes payment obligations under your order forms non-cancellable and payments non-refundable, except where the terms say otherwise.
A total cost example using only the published terms
We can't use a real Birdeye price because none is published. So here is the math with your own quote as the input, using the one published number, the 8% renewal fee.
| Recurring fees for the year | |
|---|---|
| Year 1 | Your quote (call it Q) |
| Year 2, after auto-renewal | Q x 1.08 |
| Year 3, after a second auto-renewal | Q x 1.08 x 1.08, about Q x 1.166 |
If the fee is applied at each renewal and nothing else changes, a contract that renews twice costs about 16.6% more in year three than in year one. Add any modules or locations you pick up mid-term, since the fee applies to those too. If you miss the 90-day notice window, you're committed to another full term at the higher rate.
How to negotiate a Birdeye quote
- Ask about the Innovation Fee in writing. The terms say the fee applies unless your agreement "specifically changes" it. Ask for it to be removed, capped, or fixed for a set number of renewals, and get that in the order form.
- Buy only the modules you'll use. Price reviews and listings alone, then price each coworker as an add-on. It's easier to add later than to pay for unused modules under a non-refundable contract.
- Pilot a few locations first. For a multi-location rollout, ask to start with a subset of locations and an agreed price for the rest.
- Set the renewal reminder on day one. Put the 90-day notice date on your calendar the day you sign, and ask whether the order form can shorten the notice period.
- Get a line-item quote. Ask for the price per location per module, plus any onboarding or setup charge, so you can compare it with other vendors on equal terms.
- Compare against a single-purpose tool. If you have one location and mainly want more Google reviews, a lighter review tool may cover it for less.
Where TeamShift fits on cost
TeamShift isn't a Birdeye replacement. It doesn't manage listings, run a review widget or webchat, or take payments. The overlap is that our Customer success worker drafts review requests and reminders for your OK, and Support answers calls and drafts replies to customer email for your approval.
The pricing model is different. Creating a TeamShift workspace is free. Work is billed by usage at 3x its compute cost, and each job is quoted with a maximum before it starts. There are no seats, no subscription, no contract term, and you can set daily and monthly spend caps. Details are on the pricing page. Who should pay for Birdeye
Birdeye is worth a quote if you run several locations, reviews and local search drive most of your new customers, and you want listings, review widgets, webchat, and messaging from one vendor. Franchise systems and healthcare groups are its core buyers. For a full product evaluation, see our Birdeye review.
FAQ
How much does Birdeye cost per month?
Birdeye doesn't publish a monthly price as of October 2026. Its pricing page collects your number of locations and contact details, and sales sends a quote based on the products you deploy at each location.
Does Birdeye charge per location?
Effectively, yes. Birdeye says you "pay only for what you deploy at your locations," and the quote form starts with your location count, banded from 1-3 up to 1000+.
What is Birdeye's Innovation Fee?
Per section 6 of Birdeye's terms of service, it's an 8% fee applied to recurring service fees at each auto-renewal, unless your agreement predates April 1, 2024 or your contract specifically changes it.
How do I cancel Birdeye?
Agreements auto-renew for the same term unless you send written notice of non-renewal at least 90 days before the renewal date, per section 2.3 of the terms. Payments already made are non-refundable except as the terms state.
Does Birdeye offer a free trial?
We didn't find a free trial on Birdeye's pricing page as of October 2026. The page offers a quote form and a demo.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Birdeye?
It depends on what you need. Single-location businesses that mainly want reviews can use lighter review request tools. If your problem is follow-up and back-office work rather than reputation, TeamShift bills by usage with no subscription or contract.
