Open-source tools for building and testing AI agents
TeamShift publishes two Apache-2.0 open-source projects, smb-sandbox and agent-toolkit, for developers who build, test and harden AI agents that do small-business work.
Why TeamShift publishes these
TeamShift gives businesses a team of AI workers, and the same questions come up every time an agent is pointed at a real business. What will it do to the customer records? Is the webhook that triggered it genuine? Which permissions does it actually need? Which of its actions should wait for a person?
These projects answer those questions with code you can read, run and change. They are released under the Apache-2.0 license, so you can use them in commercial and open-source work alike.
What runs where
The four free tools on this site run entirely in your browser, on the same TypeScript cores as the published packages. Nothing you paste into them is sent to TeamShift or anyone else.
The command-line tools and the sandbox MCP server run locally on Node.js 20 or later through npx. Source, issues and contribution guides are on GitHub at github.com/teamshift-io.
